aMuse’um Announces Maeghan Wall as Its New Executive Director
The Board of Directors of aMuse’um - Columbia Children’s Museum has announced the appointment of Maeghan Wall, as its new executive director.
Maeghan is married to Josh and has three children Lilly, Brewer, and Benton and has lived in Columbia for a little over 20 years. Maeghan comes to the museum with more than 18 years of extensive experience in youth program development with the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. She will obtain her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership this July.
“I am thrilled to be working with aMuse’um and look forward to the opportunity to blend my love and passion for children with my diverse operational experience, especially in an organization with a board that is committed to providing quality programming and intentionally designed experiences," said Wall.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of aMuse’um, Columbia Children’s Museum, “We are beyond thrilled to welcome Maeghan at such an unprecedented time of growth at the museum. Based on her level of experience and love for kids, we feel confident that she can lead aMuse’um in the direction we have been working so hard for. Stakeholders and the community as a whole will quickly see what an asset we have acquired in Maeghan,” said aMuse’um’s board chair Sarah Hoelscher.
”It takes a very different skill set to lead a growing organization such as the children’s museum than simply starting a nonprofit. Maeghan has the drive, the determination and the tools to allow us to make an impact on even more children and families here in southern middle Tennessee,” stated aMuse’um’s founder April Grippo.
aMuse’um is a nonprofit organization located in historic downtown Columbia. Serving 12,000 visitors annually since 2009, aMuse’um is committed to providing a safe and educational destination for children and their families.
